Just moved to ''the reserve'' a few months ago and I have noticed several houses for sale in the area.

Some of these neighbors are people that moved in after we did. We haven't even finished bringing all our items to the new house and it just makes us wonder why are these neighbors moving out so soon? Do they know something we don't?

Any thoughts?

I know of two of my neighbors who had started building on Los Lunas when the edition was in its beginning stage.
Then they (for various reasons) decided to buy on this street, instead.
One of the reasons given was that the back of the house being built on Los Lunas was too low and water coming in the back door would be a potential problem.
Could be that your neighbors just liked the other houses better.

Well, that is definitely a good reason to move out so soon. Hope they do not encounter the same problem in their NEWER home.

My 2 cents...

With houses in the price range you are referring to, there could be many reasons why people are moving out. 1) The house was purchased for profit. There are many independent ''realtors'' who build homes, add lots of bells and whistles, then make a killing on them after a short while. 2) People bought outside of their means. Houses priced this high require either one person making well above 6-figures, or two people making at least 6-figures. In the case of the latter, if one of those people loses their job, they are no longer able to afford the house and must try to sell it. 3) High job turnover in San Antonio. With huge companies such as USAA, Valero, Toyota, and all of the military bases, people are coming and going all of the time.
So, I wouldn't worry. I don't think they're planning to put a highway through the neighborhood or a strip club on the corner. Just your basic home turnover, as I see it.
