IS AN ATTORNEY NEEDED?.

Posted in: Sonoma Ranch
greetings,

several of my summit neighbors have asked me if i thought sonoma ranch(the springs, the summit, the enclave, the meadow, the hills and the reserve) needed an attorney to represent our interests in the rezoning requests filed by the seale family(case#2007045) with the zoning commission. while fully realizing that a private individual can hire an attorney to represent them, i can't help wondering about the power and strength in numbers, us.

with this in mind, i'd like to open a discussion thread.

some basics to get started:

the residents of the springs, the summit, the enclave, the meadow, the hills and the reserve **WILL BE IMPACTED** if the proposed changes are allowed. though perhaps not as overt and in your face as those folks who live on feather trail(at the arbor)will soon see, we *WILL* see and feel the effects of any zoning changes.

since sonoma parkway is the only thing separating the arbor from the walls surrounding the springs, the summit, the enclave, the meadow, the hills, the reserve, why hasn't the sonoma ranch hoa board of directors hired an attorney to represent our interests?

does it seem that some on the board are disconnected from the genuine concerns and issues facing our community?

i found the following in the info packet from the sr hoa when i bought my home:

MISSION OF THE SR HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

TO MAINTAIN, PROTECT AND ENHANCE THE VALUE OF THE HOMES AND THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE RESIDENTIAL COMMUNITY.

TO MAINTAIN THE GENERAL WELFARE OF THE MEMBERS

TO BUILD A COMMUNITY THAT IS BASED UPON HIGH PRINCIPLES AND VALUES

TO RECORD AND MANAGE THIS VISION THROUGH A SYSTEM OF GOVERNANCE THAT RESPECTS ITS MEMBERS

today at the rezoning hearing, a 30 day continuance was ordered by the zoning commission to allow for discussions and negotiations.

what are your thoughts on having an attorney(hired by the sr hoa) represent us during these negotiations?

the arbor hoa, through spectrum mgmt, has hird an atttorney, buck benson.

Attorney needed???

Do we not have an attorney on our HOA board??
I believe we we voted for him in Oct 06, He agreed to help us these types of problems..
What's the name of the Attorney?

Hi,

Do you know what attorney is handling this issue for our community?

Can something really be done to put a STOP to this development? I certainly hope so-As Richard so ''brightly'' stated-if we ALL get together we stand a chance- the question is what will it take to get them (the developers) to respect our wishes?

Maybe the attorney representing our community will guide us on this- We need to contact the attorney to find out-if you know his or her name please post it here~

(If you are the attorney, please express your input here)

attorney needed

yes, kinda...
his name is richard kruegler, but he does not act in that capacity while on the board. he is the only **homeowner** board member of 3. the other 2 are employees of a.b. galo, sandra johnson and kara kelly.

i think the community is really overreaching and unfairly expecting richard kruegler to represent sr hoa. the sr hoa really needs to hire a rezoning attorney, or someone who has specialized in this sort of law.
