THEIR ARE AN AWFUL LOT OF CAMPERS AND TRUCKS PARKED ON THE STREET. FOR SEVERAL DAYS, A CAMPER HAS BEEN PARKED ON THE STREET ON VALENCIA. ALSO, IN CUL-DE-SACS, SOMEONE IS USING THE CIRCULAR AREA AROUND THE ISLAND FOR PERMANENT PARKING. WHAT GIVES? THEIR IS NO WAY AN EMERGENCY VEHICLE CAN GET THROUGH THIS AREA.

Parking in the streets
Thank you for bringing your concerns to the attention of the GHOA. The Covenants Committee is aware of the RV you mention, and the owner has been complying with the requirements stated within the Declaration of Covenants. We will continue to monitor this area for residents to ensure compliance is maintained. As for parking personal vehicles on the street, there is no action we can take; the street belongs to the city and no ''law'' is being broken. However, if an inoperable vehicle is parked in a driveway or street, then the Association and the city can take action. If you'd like to report an inoperable vehicle to the Association, please send me an email at GHOACovenants@sbcglobal.net, or call the city inspection office at 658-0445. |
