In the last few months, I've seen and heard a great deal about the construction on the corner. Currently, there doesn't seem to be any activity on that site and I wish that could be said of the area on Tezel directly behind my house. I've heard nothing about this development from the HOA, other than the fact that the mgmt co was not notified. It's unsettling that no one seems to know what's going in between Oak Crest #3 and Papa John's considering they are close to laying the foundation. How did this happen that we are still in the dark?

I used to have some privacy for my family. Now I have to deal with construction starting before 7 a.m. and not stopping until the sun goes down, Monday-Saturday. My baby can't sleep while they are working, and everything in my house is covered with dust. What's worse is that anyone on Tezel can see straigth into my house, including the construction workers that regularly stand around on ground that is at a much higher elevation than my property.

I'm very concerned about privacy, noise, security and water run off from this development. I know this only impacts the few of us with property immediately behind this construction but it would be nice to have these concerns addressed like they were with the other construction.

Construction next to Papa Johns

I just received word from Luis Tellez (VP Board of Directors) that they are building a two story storage facility. It should not be noisy, the water runoff drainage plan was approved by the City, security and privacy seemed adequate and non-intrusive on the drainage side.

For all Oak Crest residents information, the City does not have to notify anyone about construction of previously zoned commercially property. The reason we got involved with the commercial property on Tezel and Silent Sunrise is they needed approval to rezone it. We got involved and with City Council help we got a fence built behind their gas station with proper lighting that would not glare over the creek bed.

Since they are not working within our subdivision, we have no say as to when they can start and finish; sorry.
