Change the By-laws!

Posted in: San Antonio Creekside
In regards to Mr. Jackson's resignation, I ask for your help in getting the by-laws changed as far as the nomination committee is concerned. I strongly believe that a no one group/committee has the right to withhold the name of an individual, as long as that individual meets all qualifications, from a list of applicants for the Board of Directors. Let the voters decide. We (Creekside) are not one of the major political parties, they probably need to screen their nominees...but even then, those who wish to run are given equal space on the ballot...Was Mr. Jackson given equal "space"? No. If you can tell, my gander is up....

He can STILL run for office,

Mr. Jackson can still run for office but he would have to be at the Feb. 3rd meeting. I applied for the same thing and my application was thrown out as well, but I was told I could still enter myself, I just have to be present at the meeting.

Get your neighbors involved!!!!!

The only way that we can resolve situations such as this, is to go to the meetings. You need to go to your neighbors and drag their behinds to these meetings so that they can have a say in how things operate! If you do not take the time to at least tell your neighbors about meetings and encourage them to come, then misunderstanings such as this will continue to happen. I believe that the only forum in which we can get the total picture is at the meetings! Remember, the council is only as strong as the home owners who participate, and if nobody gets involved then the council will act on their own!

p.s. Still lookin for recruits for the recreation committee............
