Pets

Posted in: San Antonio Creekside
Do any of you out there happen to know of the laws concerning pets whose families let them run all over? There's a dog on my street who has a home, yet is allowed to roam free and scare the neighboring children. This dog will run after them, barking and growling. It has also impregnated a pure-bred dog by jumping the fence of another home. A chain has been given to the woman of the home by neighbors, but she still will tell her children to let the dog go. I guess the question is, will animal control pick up the dog even though it has a home and the owner is aware of the problem? Thanks for any suggestions and help.
CALL ANIMAL CONTROL

if there is a situation in which an animal is running loose around the neighborhood, and you have made every effort to let the owner know then call animal control. They will come pick up the animal and the owner will be responsible for going and getting it.
They will not say who had placed the call they will just drive through the neighborhood and see if they can find the dog that is running loose. There should be no delay in calling animal control especially if childrens well being is in jepordy! If the dog is found running the streets again make the call, for the protection of the children.
