How can we stop the development of the strip mall on the west side of Henderson? Judging from the empty or marginally used shops around 1000 Oaks and Henderson Pass, there is no burning need for more.

If they are not going to be occupied, why build them? If they are ''successful'', won't that just make for more traffic congestion on Henderson near the school?

I like the trees. In my mind, they enhance the quality of living more than a parking lot/strip mall ever could. And we need them: 20 trees are required to clean the air from 1 Honda-sized car that travels 20,000 miles per year.

I left Southern California, happy to be free of the endless sea of traffic jams and strip malls. Unfortunately, San Antonio is ''progress''ing just like S.Cal. did, losing trees and open spaces at an unpresidented rate. Cough, hack.

Who wants to look out a 2nd story window to see the roof of a strip mall?

Please. Let's resist the Californication of our neighborhood.
