Traffic Safety

Posted in: Hunters Mill
Many of you may have noticed the accident at the intersection of Rowe and Alder Creek. A car ran into the homeowner's house. This highlights a problem that is increasing in this neighborhood - speeding. I would ask that all residents please drive under the speed limit and please come to a full stop at all stop signs. There are many children in the neighborhood and any one of them could be killed the next time traffic leaves the road and enters the yards, as has happened at at least 16 homes in Hunters Mill. Many of those homes have had multiple incidents where traffic has spilled into their front yards.

Anybody who is concerned about this issue please contact me. We have tried to make as big a push for the closure of Stoney Summit as possible, because we feel that the closure is the only way to alleviate the growing problem in Hunters Mill and StoneRidge subdivisions. At the very least, please call Councilman Schuberts office to make him aware that this is an issue for residents all along the shortcut route, as well as for anyone who choosed to walk the shortcut route. Let's not wait until someone is killed to get this taken care of.
