Caliza, 1 or 2 lanes? HELP!

Posted in: District 9 Neighborhood Alliance
Are we going to leave Caliza the way it is or are we going to hurry up and stripe it? Will it be like Encino Rio with the bike lane on the side? Is Caliza one lane or a TIGHT 2? Please can something be done soon? There are already many neighborhoods that are finished out or should be in the near future, why can't we get this road marked so we know how to drive it? There have been a few fender-benders and with summer coming up, a lot more families are biking the street. Who should I contact to see what can be done? I was previously told this was going to be discussed at the last district meeting but it never was. You know, in reality, two BIG trucks can barely drive side by side, only little passenger cars can pass safely and will somebody please get the radar guns ready because I know not everyone is doing the posted limit. Let's not let Caliza turn into a rapidly traveled road like Stone Oak Parkway. That road is a mess and I don't necessarily think we should let a nearby road as nice as Caliza is NOW get that way. Thank you and I'll be waiting for a reply as well as suggestions.
