Take a look at www.nrc-sa.org. NRC is a non-profit entity supporting a number of neighborhood-related activities. The latest is an Annual Neighborhood Conference set for Sept 9, 2006. Invite anyone who is interested to pursue this interest.
I attended a Neighborhood Planning session this past week, wherein it was suggested the neighborhoods north of Prue inside of Loop 1604 could benefit themselves by formulating a Community Plan of improvements (incorporating a number of neighborhood areas, perspectives, and desires) for the short and long term.
By the way I learned there is a Community Plan for the area just south of Prue Road including Leon Valley and more...Some interesting things are in the plan, to include the plan for a 4-lane freeway (elevated?) for Bandera Road scheduled for 2020.....
