The last news letter I received indicated that the board held discussions concerning speeders in Parkwood. Did anything become of this? I would like to see a speed bump placed somewhere between the Prue Street entry into Parkwood and the first stop sign. Living near the entrance we see alot of speeders on a daily basis. We feel lucky just getting out of our driveway in the morning without an accident. Does anyone else see this as a problem? Are there any other recommendations on what should be done?

Sppeders in Parkwood
Have empathy for your situation. I live across from the pool parking lot and no one drive the speed limit there. In fact have you've noticed the 20 MPH sign there? You probably won't because whenever a new one is put up someone knocks it over. Speed bumps won't help much either, just look at areas that do have them. Also, I believe the areas that do have them in only due to the proximity to the school believe you may be out of luck in your area. |

Careful what you ask for
I read a study by the SAFD a year or two back that stated their response times were significantly reduced when travelling through neighborhoods with speed bumps. The way the roads in Parkwood are in places, we don't even need speed bumps -- we have potholes that serve the same purpose! |

what potholes?
I have not seen any around my streets, By the way anonymous I would rather have my house burn down than my daughter being run over. Come on think about it |
