Hey James,

You've done an excellent job as a board member.  You may not realized but I've talked to quite a few homeowners around here and they all said the same. Good luck to you & congrats on your new home.

By the way, do you know of any progress on streetlights installation in front of our complex?

Well, the streetlight issue was brought up on board meetings several times but the board never took a majority action.  It seemed like the majority of the board thought the floodlights around SPW are sufficient as they were reluctant to spend homeowners money for public street lighting.  Also, I could not produce any convincing evidence that the majority of homeowners wanted streetlights with just a few replies on this forum.

My suggestion to you is, at our next annual meeting, around January 15, 2010, someone may raise this issue to the board.  If there were a majority of support of homeowners who attended the meeting it would convince the board to take fast action.  Then I would do my best to bring it to the city's attention once again, despite the fact that our allocated time to reply back to the city has been expired.

What street lights are we talking about?  Location? How much does the board have to pay?  Who will pay the light bill?

James, do you know why Randall didn't send out proxies along with the annual meeting notice back in December?
