Obviously a Drug House

Posted in: Schnitzelburg Area Council - LINC

How do we get the police to turn their attention toward making arrests of obvious drug dealers in Germantown?  If you live in Germantown, you probably have a section 8 drug dealer living on your street.  The definition of a section 8 drug dealer for purposes of this forum would be an unemployed person who rents a house participating in the section 8 program and who supplements their income by selling drugs.   You know the tenants are dealers, the other neighbors know, so why won't the police get involved?   It's all right there in plain sight.   I have reported this activity on the Louisville Metro page to no avail.   Thanks for your comments.

You are doing the correct thing by reporting this activity.  Often it seems that nothing is being done.  I hope that repeated reports will result in more action by LMPD with regards to this situation.  I would encourage you to come attend the June 22nd general meeting of the Schnitzelburg Area Community Council and talked directly to Officer Dean Sturgeon, who comes to our meetings and gives us an update on the crime activity in our neighborhood.  You could talk to him during the meeting and pose this very same concern to him.  Or if you feel more comfortable talking to him individually, I am sure that would be possible that evening also.  The meeting is at St. Elizabeth's cafeteria at 7 PM, Monday, June 22nd.

Can you give me more details, location,  times of drug activity, etc.  Gary Allen President of Schnitzelburg Area Community Council, Cell # 551-2403, if there is still a problem.
