Scioto Woods Civic Association

Hello everyone, my name is Ryan Twait. My wife and I have lived in Scioto Woods since the summer of '08. My wife and I are full time students, and I am in the Air National Guard. Our house was trashed and burglarized last April. I just got news that a single woman living a couple houses down had the same thing happen to her this week. I personally have had enough. I am in the process of getting a neighborhood watch started. I have requested all the information that is needed to start one, and I should be receiving my packet in a few weeks. I just wanted to put the word out there, and when I get the packet, and figure out how to go about starting the watch, I will be needing some help with spreading the word around the neighborhood. I think if we could get ten volunteers to go door to door, just to let community know that we want to have a meeting on protecting the neighborhood, we would be well on our way. If anyone is interested in helping out with this, myself and the neighborhood as a whole would greatly appreciate it. Please give me a call or shoot me an email if you are willing to help. Ryan sorry to hear this news, thought Scioto Woods was a safe neighbor hood, my neighbor

had a B-E also.

hope you go to March 24th 12PM meeting at the park shelter, maybe we can get a columbus police to attend, inform us of phone numbers we can call when we see things to report.

Plus we can talk of positive things we can do for our neighbor hood.

Hello! My husband and I are Dave's neighbor. We had someone break into our home just a few short months after we moved here in the Fall of 2010. I happened to be home and they still did not catch the 2 men that did it. Immediately, my husband was ready to sell the house and leave the neighborhood. We have stuck it out and I do love the neighborhood. We are hoping to increase security and make this a much nicer place! We will do everything we can to be there for the meeting on March 24th.
