Water Pressure?

Posted in: Berington Club
Is there anything that can be done with the water pressure in this community? Most days my sprinkler heads won't even come out of the ground fully due to the lack of pressure. If this was the only problem, I'd write it off to too many heads per zone, but as we all know, it isn't. Showering has also become an adventure from time to time.

When I brought it up to Beazer as a warranty item, they politely tell me that there is nothing that can be done.

I've spoken with several of my neighbors who are in agreement with me. Does anyone know if anything can or is being done about this? Thank You.

Water Pressure

This happened last year also. At that time it was because of the drought. The county had lowered pressure due to lack of water. I called the county at that time and was told that there was nothing they could do, that they were using as much pressure as they could. We found that as far as watering the yard, the best time to do so was in the middle of the night. We start ours around 12:30 a.m. It helps. With showers it could be because so many people are watering lawns and showering at the same time. Try calling the county to see what they say about the problem at this time.

Water Pressure

I don't think that there is anything the builder can do about this. It is a function of the local water authority, Seminole County Water & Sewer. As I understand it, it has to do with the lack of rain and the authority changes the pressure at certain times during the day based on demand etc. I find that the pressure is better for the sprinlerslate in the day and early evening. I think that they reduce it early in the morning.

may be something in the works...

Don't quote me on any of this, but I was told that they are putting in another well on this side of the interstate. I happened to be in the county office the other day and saw a map with some inklings of such. This would greatly increase our water pressure. It's supposed to be a ground tank, not a sky tank like in Altamonte Springs. Whether this happens or not, we'll have to wait and see. Maybe a call in to the county wouldn't hurt.
