Settlers Crossing HOA

Does anyone else agree that the fence height restriction is a little excessive? I am willing to start a door to door petition to get this changed to 8 foot fences and at the very least a 7 foot fence. ALso, the option of a vinyl fence. There are MANY similar neighborhoods (even nicer) with 7 and 8 foot fences that are very aesthetically pleasing.

 Settlers crossing is a great neighborhood and my only complaint is going in the backyard wtih no privacy whatsoever, our lots are WAY TO SMALL FOR A 5 FOOT FENCE. I am not just gripping but willing to take action to get this changed.  Everyone I have talked to (over 20) have been interested in giving this neighborhood the option of taller fencing. The fences will have to be replaced in the next 2-3 years and we need options. The regulation was from the builders who wanted to showcase the homes and not live in them. If they lived here I can promise you there would be taller fences. Besides, doesnt it tell you something when fence companies dont even produce a 5 foot fence? seriously

I agree that this issue needs to be addressed.  We need to replace our fence due to broken post but we can't find 5ft fencing.  Can we put up a 6ft fence?  We need some options before the wind blows our fence down and it HAS to be replaced.  I would like a little more privacy in my bag yard also...........

I can go with taller fences, if you notice there are now iron fences. I think iron fences should also be permitted as long as they are black in colour.

I would love to sign a petition and get the fence height restrictions changed.  I need to replace my fence and would really love to be able to replace it with a 6' or 7' high fence versus another 5' fence.
