Unless Oklahoma County is under a burn ban, then it is illegal and you can get fined. |

according to Oklahoma County, since we are unincorporated, its still legal. I found this on KFOR's website: "Areas where fireworks were previously legal, they are still legal with a couple of exceptions." Barnes said fireworks are allowed in Oklahoma County's unincorporated areas. So, what does that mean? Barnes said, "An unincorporated area is basically not a part of any municipality. It's not part of Choctaw, Edmond, the City of Oklahoma City." The county has a map on their web site showing the unincorporated areas. They are mainly in the northwest corner and eastern edge of the county. Despite recent rain, the fire danger remains extremely high. Barnes warns if your holiday activities ignite a fire, you could be held responsible. He said, "They're responsible for extinguishment, the cost of extinguishment and any damage caused by that fire."
