Today (7/21/03), I spoke to Parks and they confirmed the following information: The revised Shaw Butte Parking Lot is complete and is currently being used although more work is needed. Bruce Shaffer (Parks Maintenance) said ''No Parking'' signs have been ordered for the outside of the Shaw Butte Parking Lot. Temporary ''No Parking'' signs are in place now. People who park outside the lot will be ticketed. Hopefully within a month the new signs will be placed. Also, a sign posting hours has been ordered. The agreed hours are: Winter (6:00 AM to 7:00 PM) and Summer (5:00 AM to 8:30 PM). The gate is operational and Parks is closing it at night. If residents observe the gate open after the posted closed time, Parks wants them call and report the gate needs to be secured/closed. Please call 602-262-7901.
