  • Respect-O-Meter: Valued Neighbor
The privacy fence separating private property from the Sears Automotive Center is still being kicked in and climbed over by adults and teenagers living in the neighborhood. Monday we had to renail a section of fence which somebody had kicked loose from the posts. Frequently, a board has to be renailed or replaced because it was broken when someone tried to kick a board loose to gain access. This is not a problem restricted to my property alone. My neighbors also have this problem.

This happens even when you are in your yard. When you ask them to stop climbing into your yard, the teenagers have given me the finger, sneered, and continued to climb over the fence, walked right past me and then said ''watch us'' as they climbed over the lower fence to the front of the property.

Please restrain yourself and ask your children not to trespass and damage property belonging to others.
Your cooperation will be greatly appreciated.
Lets talk at next meeting

I was not aware that this was a problem. Can I suggest you come to next meeting and perhaps we can discuss the problem and work toward a solution. I believe the fence in question belongs to the retail establishments. If that is the case, then they should be the ones maintaining it.

Thank you for bringing this issue forward.
