In The Beginning

The property now known as Silver Oaks was farm land originally owned by the Bischoff family. Mr. Bischoff, the patriarch, still lives in the neighborhood. The original house stood near the middle cul-de-sac along the south property line. The pear orchard at the east end is VERY old, although I don't know just HOW old and was part of the larger parcel of land.

Going Up!

Ground was broke on the model homes in January 1999 and the first homes were finished in April. Lot 34 was the first family to move in the end of May that year.
