The Smoky Hill Homeowners Association is a non-profit corporation that represents the homeowners in the Smoky Hill 400 subdivision. All members of the Board of Directors are elected by the paid members of the Association. The annual election of officers is held in May of each year. All board members are volunteers who discuss and resolve issues of the neighborhood.

Covenant Controlled community

All homes within the Smoky Hill 400 subdivision are subject to restrictive covenants that were filed with the State of Colorado in 1978. These covenants are presently being re-written to bring them to present day terminology and changes in the neighborhood. Open forum sessions to review the new covenants will be held in the early spring of 2001, and approval voting of the homeowners following the forums in early summer, 2001.
