It's Sat. morning, Feb. 7, about 9am. I hear a flapping sound on my front door and open it to find the latest edition of our very own Heather Hills News taped to my storm door. In reading through it, I had 2 reactions.

1. Thankful - Glad to get the info on the free pickup of limbs and branches starting next week. I'll definitely take advantage of that!

2. Shocked myself - Our 7 board members using this newsletter as a forum to basically chastise a few whiners by chastising all of us - lecturing adults as a parent would. I, myself, grew up in Michigan and went to college in Montana, so obviously I didn't have a problem with getting myself and my car in and out of my home or the parking lot. But there are others who freak out at this kind of thing because they're just not used to it. And there are those who are just going to complain about anything under the sun because that's just who they are. I don't appreciate you people calling a few souls "petty." That was uncalled for, unprofessional and down right rude on your parts. The association "generously paying" a contractor?!?! How about each and every townhome owner in Heather Hills paying $300 a year to the association so that they can make a "smart decision to pay" a contractor instead! And lastly, asking for "no more complaints" - come on! If you want to be on an association board, either plan around getting complaints about everything and get some thick skin or get off the board!
