I've seen small children playing in the middle of the street. Is this safe?

I also see many cars being driven above the 25 mile speed limit.

In the spirit of preventing an accident,the neighborhood streets should not be used as playgrounds. Wouldn't it be better that children play in their own back yards or the neighborhood recreational center?

Our children are our greatest treasure and as parents, we must closely supervise our young children at all times to protect their safety while at play.

I agree. The streets are not playgrounds. I have witnessed many people speeding, running stop signs, and also driving or riding illegal vehicles on the streets, like ATVs, and riding wrecklessly at that. And yes, most are SR residents, NOT construction workers. Historically and unfortunately, it does take a tragic event to get people's attention.

We can do something. The way I understand the process; if you see someone driving in an unsafe manner in our neighborhoods, you can report it through the HOA. You would need a license number to complete the report. In lieu of the license number, the make/model of the car along with where the owner lives would probably suffice.

i can't talk about children playing in the streets since i don't have any doing that, but i can talk about the speeding. nothing can be done aboutt speeding within the gates...it's private propert. there are no speed limits. yes there are speed markers, but they are *NOT* legally enforceable. contact the sapd safe officer(alonzo?) at the prue substation or ask mr tompkins. i am not familiar with the srhoa rules on speeding, but i suspect they are county connected in someway, much like college campuses.
