Sonoma Ranch

I am thinking about buying a house in Sonoma Ranch.  I really would prefer not being in an HOA (can I quit?).  Any comments about SR and the HOA in general?  Thanks.

friendly residents and nice neighborhood in general.  but the HOA is comparable to a lump of manure- by that I mean they just sit there and stink up the area. No you can't quit the HOA. if that were the case everyone would vote out!!! and they know that.  Really, the HOA truly sucks...honestly. So buy the house you like and just pay your dues to the KGB- I mean HOA. I hope this helps with you decision.

depends on what you want to do here.

the hoa is bad, the area will be getting worse in terms of traffic(if that is even imaginable), city representation sux, the gates are an ever present and expensive problem......

but other than that....it's a great place.

have a look at the previous posts going back ~2yrs and know that there is a difference between the eastern and western sides(THE WALL) of sonoma parkway.
