Landscape recognition

Posted in: Sonoma Ranch

Well, I have to weigh in on the yard of the month issue - No sour grapes here either, & obviously lots of people are really spiffing up their yards.  But in the Summit there have been some very odd choices & although the most current house on Santa Ursula is nice, it is professionally done.  Little recognition of native plants, low water use-types of yards, etc.  Lots of neat little begonias.  The last house on Candelaria was wonderful & fun, evenly slightly overgrown, but very "Texas" looking.  There are definitely some little pranksters taking the signs & putting them in some hideous yards.  The 1st & 2nd houses in the Reserve were losers, but their have been some better choices made recently.  What in the world is the criteria?  But kudos overall to the landscape group for even attempting to introduce this, it's kinda fun to watch.

In the Enclave all the award winners lived next door to each other...and some did not deserve to win.  I don't think the judging in the enclave was fair.

Apologize for that typo; the judging was UNFAIR in the Enclave.
