They are here. The two available are the old Garfield School and the Blackwell Mansion. They were manufactured by a Non profit foundation that provides job training and employment for the handi-capped. The miniatures are delightful examples of Muscatine's rich architectural history. We plan to do four a year, a school, church, public building or business and a private home.
All proceeds from the sales will go to neighborhood and community projects such as the police substation and tools for Muscatine's Community Tool Shed. We also hope to sponsor a bench on the River Walk.
They are very mailable and make wonderful gifts for far a way friends and relatives ( or even those close by).
Miniatures are currently available at Greetings and Gifts in downtown Muscatine or by contacting one of the Southend United Neighbors at 263-2703 or 262-8429.
