Again, I appreciate you sharing your thoughts. It is unfortunate that more SD's don't participate here. I totally agree with you that the soliciting is a concern. If you have some ideas on how to get more No Soliciting signs up in the neighborhood, let me know. We just had some pest control service man come to our door earlier this week. Said he was going to be treating several neighboring yards, and wanted to do ours'...."No thanks!". At least this guy had a uniform (with company name patch on his shirt -- although, not a company I have ever heard of).
The man who was begging my neighbor for money, was just some random guy. The basis of my concern here is that this guy is clearly a scammer (or who knows what he was up to, if he had gotten into her house). Based on what my neighbor and I saw, this guy only hits up SD homes of single women. Didn't come to my door or the couple's house on the other side of her. In a couple of weeks, I'll be switching to evening shift at work, and my wife (and 3 kids) will be home in the evenings by herself till I get home around midnight. I think you can understand why I am concerned.
Again, I had hoped that more SD's participate here, so we could work together to protect all of our families and neighborhood from scammers and/or other crime. It was worth a try anyway. Thanks again for chatting with me!
