NW Recreation Funding

As you remember, we conducted a survey to determine the interest of the community in funding a General Improvement District to pay for the completion of all phases of the NW Recreation Center. The response in Southface was tied at 97 for and 97 against. Other associations in the northwest quadrant were also polled. In all cases but one, the results were similar.

Because there would be a great deal of work involved in getting petition signatures from over 50% of the registered voters/property owners in the area. It was felt that the community response did not justify the effort. We hope that the city will find funding; perhaps SCIP 2, to complete this project.
