After hurrican Ike

Posted in: Southway Gardens

Does anyone there know the conditions of the houses in our neighborhood?

We evacuated and have no clue thus far.

Thanks!

Still no power in the neighborhood.  A lot of damage to most of the fences and a lot of downed trees.  Some houses did have roof damage (missing shingles)

thank you so much! I was so hoping that there was no flooding.  I can only imagine what my refrigerator will smell like when I get back.

I guess our little subdivision is blessed, considering what are neighbors in Galveston are going through.

I'm not sure about flooding, the bottom of my backyard door is soaked, but my carpet stayed dry.  I did see some people throwing away some big rolls of carpet and clearing out there garage.  I did empty and cleaned out the refridgerator after I got home from work yesterday morning and I have to admit I did throw up,  after all it was trash day.

There is no way I can complain about being without power with what the residents from Bolivar Peninsula and Gelveston sufferred from IKE.

I'm here at work and according to Centerpointenergy.com we might not have power until AFTER Sept. 22.

Good luck to you and yours when you come back.
