Items dug up behind water house

Posted in: Stonefield Maintenance Corporation
I wanted to make the neighborhood aware that the tree's that were planted in the grassy area behind the water house at the entrance of the developement last year were recently dug up by a number of neighborhood children...on several occasions a number of children have been seen playing in the area behind the water house and had been viewed digging up the tree's that were planted last year on two seperate days and discarding them into the wooded area near by...i appologize to anyone who would have liked me to approach the children and ask that they cease but i have decided that i didnt want to play the bad person here nor did i want to take the place of the childrens parents that are the ones responsible for knowing what their children are doing but i did feel it important to inform everyone do to the fact that our due's went to purchasing these tree's or whatever type of plant that it may have been that was put there last year...
I dont blame you

I wouldnt have approached them either. There are too many teen agers and ''almost'' teen agers who simply hang out and do nothing but cause trouble in our neighborhood. Last year two boys (teens) were beating the toys in the park with baseball bats. This was in broad day light! Its a shame but not surprising that this happened.

I've been living in stonefield for two years now.  I moved from Newark to live in a nicer community.  So far that is what I've gotten.   In regards to the issue of teens destroying property or ruining your community, they'll do it as long as you let them.  You ever notice how you dont see a teen in their own yard ripping up trees, spray painting on the side of their parents house?  Their parents wouldn't allow it so they do it elsewhere.  This is your community not theirs, they dont buy houses here, they don't pay dues.  I refuse to let someone regardless of age think they can get away with doing whatever they please because their parents aren't around.  As a kid I threw snowballs at car until a grown man whose car I hit walked up behind me and smacked me in the face with one as hard as he could.  I deserved what I got and never threw another snowball at a car.  This is your neighborhood, unfortunately it's up to you to decide how much you'll let slide.  One person cant change a neighborhood, but if everyone that is unhappy with this situation all get involved when it effects them, the kids will get the hint or the parents will.
