What's in a Name?

I've been in the area on and off from 1969. It's at that time I suppose that I first heard about ''St.Andrews. I agree with Al Pettigrew in point whereas we are called by several names out here. But ''Graveline''? I disagree.

I would much rather be known (all of us), St.Andrews and OBE to be known as just St. Andrews regardless of any past historical record of any other name. It fits the area. Many people don't know Ocean Beach Estates by location until you mention St. Andrews.

If Not Historical label?

The only support I can think of for the name ''Graveline'' is that it is historical and identifies our area on the maps by its bayou. To different degrees, having the area identified by other names will be more difficult. The name that is easiest to use is Fontainebleau, but it is easily mis-spelled.

My point is that we need to have a consistent name and boundries. If we have it, we become an entity in the eyes of local governments and we can get them to track tax payments and spending related to our area to ensure we are getting a fair return on our dollars. There are also other intangible benefits that will help speed quality of life improvements here.
