I just took the time to read the Whats Hot Whats New area of the web site. When we bought our homes in St Andrews and in Pinehurst we knew that the water company was privately owned. I would hope that anyone purchasing a home anywhere would look at something like this before making a purchase.
Now that we don't like the rules we want to change the game. Is there anyone out there that owns there who owns a business that would like for me or any group to come in and try to make you become a not for profit?
The last time I checked we are a Democracy not a Communist state. Our government is not for profit. I do not believe that we want our water department run as inefficently.
If you would take the time as I have to compare the rates of the sourounding cities and water departments you would see that their rates are as good or better than most on the coast.
Mr. Williams pointed out in one of our meetings that the increase to put in a new tower would be just a few dollars per month. I, for one, do not mind paying the few extra dollars to have this new tower.
I would like to say that when you speak to Mr. Williams about making HIS COMPANY not for profit, please make it clear that you are not speaking for me!!!!!!!!!
