At the last neighborhood meeting I felt that alot of us got insight into how we can deal with the problem we have with unrestrained dogs. If the proper way to deal with these animals and their owners is the sworn statement form the animal control officer talked about then how about a co-ordinated effort to deal with this issue where we get complaints and document carefully the situation and then provide multiple statements to the proper authority, thus eliminating the likelihood of retribution on one or two people by an unreasonable dog owner. Like with the drug marches there is safety in numbers. I'm not talking about marching in front of peoples houses but multiple statements on record at the county animal control office. I know I don't need to ask but what do you all think??
The more the better

It would seem the more evidence you have against an owner the better chance you also have of something being done. Good luck! This doesn't seem like a big problem untill a child gets hurt. Then EVERYONE will want to know why nothing was been done before.

Complaint/Notary Service

I could hear how frustrated certain areas of the neighborhood are with the issue. I made this offer at the June meeting however, I think it's worth repeating. I believe the complaint forms that must be submitted to Animal Services required a notary signature. I'm offering my services as a notary to anyone interested in filing. I can be reached at home 322-9339 or by cell phone at 409-1237.
