I am not Debby but let me set you straight:
1. wrong- no secret tapes
2. wrong- no secret meetings and no control board actions- that's your guy!
3. postcard public record- showed up where?
4. he has no business NOT revealing CVS plans to neighborhood if he wanted to be on the board- can't have it both ways-
he was supposed to represent the neighbors not the developer- "he didn't deliver!"
5.absolutely NOT true- a series of phone calls from others at work was the primary cause and the board member call was left on home machine- it was terse, not "outrageous"- it was also publically apologized for and flowers were sent as a private apology

IF YOU DID NOT ATTEND THE GENERAL MEETING YOU CANNOT BEGIN TO FATHOM THE
SITUATION - IT WAS INCREDIBLY SICK AND SAD AND RUDE ON THE BEHaLF OF THE PRESIDENT

Wow, I can't believe how things can be misconstrued (sp)! Secretly taped? -just like the secretary had taped the board meeting secretly- Steve sure stuck his foot in his mouth and ended up apologizing for that at the meeting! The tape was an answering machine message!

Secret meetings by the board??? Can't board members communicate with each other over issues. I believe that is what they are supposed to be doing. Just because two are speaking without officially calling a board meeting, doesn't mean they are secretly meeting!

As for the postcard- that was common knowledge way prior to the meeting! Can't one make copies to SEE what Steve said instead of hearing 50 versions of it!!! I absolutely don't see anything wrong with that unless someone didn't want that postcard exposed!

If the meeting were supposed to be confidential then he should have politely removed himself from the meeting since he was the President. What a lame excuse.

And to answer your last question. YES! I have been in this volunteer- political fire with this neighborhood before and for your info, many, many years! And, as long as steve is not president, things go pretty smoothly and do not get as nasty as this. Check your history of this association. Trouble always brewed when he was in office!

there are only two members of the board who met secretly with CVS and you don't mention that at all (hint: prior to May)
