Each time anyone logs onto their computer to this web site it counts as one ''hit, as registered under ''homepage.'' You must access the discussion area through the homepage. Therefore it is a better count of the number of people who are going to the NSNA web site, including the discussion area.

But, some people may be going to the site more than once a day- so even this figure is not meant to an accurate count- it is probably higher than what is really happening.

After you hit the homepage you can hit the discussion area (hit #1). Once in the discussion area, each time a person clicks on a discussion or response, or starts a new discussion, they create multiple hits.

So- if you read a discussion with 4 responses, you would generate a minimum of five hits- that is if you make no errors and have to go back to click on ''discussion area'' or the specific discussion again to find what to read next. Each ''click'' would equal a ''hit'', more or less, to try to simplify it.

Thank you. Good explanation. Now even I understand.

That last sentence of yours, was that a hit, I mean a shot? It took me a couple of days to figure out that genius part! Slipped one by me I think.

But whatever! I forgive you. We're web site buds! And, there is more important stuff in your posting to talk about and I must thank you for expressing it in a way that even I could understand it. And thats the part about deception and the many names on many of the replies and all of that.
(Besides, this posting will give me much needed practice in honing my newly found computor skills. Especially if I keep getting help from good folks like you.)

Well, I think you are on to something here and I have to give you all of the credit..... Yes I do. Now don't be so modest, you said it first, not me.

Now I like humor as much as the next dethroned president. And I think we here in North Shore are blessed with some pretty good wits. Yes I do! And, well, these wits deserve alot of credit. Now now, yes they do! And they deserve to use pen names because what they do is sort of ---- an art form. Would'nt you agree? I mean the action figure stuff about me was great, funny, insightfull, genius.

But what gets my goat is when serious people write in serious stuff and hide behind those pen names. Well I just up and don't pay any attention to it. Why should I? I mean its worthless hooty. I mean what are they afraid of? Afraid of their own opinions? Afraid to express honest thoughts? It does not make sense to me. If you have a serious issue to discuss or a serious point to make then I think serious people who want other serious people to take them seriously should seriously write down those serious thoughts and then sign their serious names.

So, let me repeat myself so that I don't get misinterpretted and beat up here by some of my own supporters.

Humor = good stuff = pen name = is ok

Serious stuff = pen name = not ok

Serious stuff = real name = good thing

Now mind you, by my way of thinking, ''most'' of the stuff which is signed via pen names on this web site is humor and wit and art. Maybe as much as 98%. Very little of what is posted is serious. Maybe 2%. And alot of that 2% gets signed and thats good. Its the other serious ones that don't get signed that is my issue here. There are only a few
of us who are not artsy, not witty nor very humorous. So we are left with signing our real names. For the sake of future entries I hope this helps clarify who should sign and who gets to use a pen name. If you have a real point to make, be braaaavvvveee. Sign your name. You'll respect yourself in the morning. Trust me. If your witty, artsy and humorous, lead on. I'll be up at 6:00 and I could use a good yoke with my ham and eggs.
