Steve Lange does not have leadership qualifications. He gets mad, belligerent and down right rude. I think Steve Lange should be on the Board of the North Shore Association, but not an Officer, such as President or President Elect. The NSNA needs to work together so they can get back on track. Steves deep-seated animosity towards the other Board members is well known I don't think Steve Lange has this typer of leadership. Find someone else for the job. Find someone who doesn't want to pull down the Association.

Steve Lange's animosity has been directed at too many board members on this site. How can he work with them now? He has meanly insulted the following board members: Will, Carl, Susan, Cynthia, Greg, Kate, Arlene and Jim. That's eight of the eleven. Also lots of other individuals and the whole of the neighborhood that lives south of 9th Ave in ''slum & blight'' and all the people who live west of 1st Street. And even all the people he calls anti-CVS no matter where they live.
Who's left? The committee of twenty something?

Justifyable Anomosity - Yes / No

There has been some anomosity between Steve Lange and some of the board members you listed, but not all.

Some of the anomosity is justifiable and some was better off dropped, some comments needed to be said, and some not said at all.

Steve Lange is no typical politician. I say this in a complimentary way. Whether you agree with him or not, give Steve credit, he has said what he has said in a public forum, and not behind peoples' backs. If Steve has a problem with someone, they know it, and they hear it from him directly. Even if you don't like what you are hearing / reading, at least you are receiving the information in an honest way.

I do not agree with the way he or some of the other board members have handled this whole situation. That does not make them bad people. It makes them human. I would have done no better.

I will give you two examples, from your own posting, of misrepresented information about Steve.

1) You mentioned that Steve has offended all of the people that live south of 9th Avenue. You quote the language that he repeated, ''slum and blight''.

This language is from the City's own written description of the area. Steve merly repeated what is written. Steve has also said many times that this language does not accuratly describe what has transpired in this portion of our neighborhood over the last few years. He has further said that the City language should be changed to reflect these improvements to the neighborhood.

I am not blaming you for this misrepresentation you made about Steve. I am sure that you are only repeating what you have been told or what you interpreted from what Steve said. The truth is, many people have misinterpreted what Steve said about this issue.

2) You indicated that Steve has insulted all of the people that live west of 1st Street.

This is another misconception. Steve said that people that live west of 1st street should have understood when they purchased their homes, that the land closes to 4th Street may from time to time be rezoned for commercial use.

What is not true about his statement?

Rezoning in this area is a fact.

Steve is being critizied for stating fact.

If you don't like the message, don't kill the messenger.

Steve's anomosity has been largly over these types of misrepresentations. Many such as yours are probably honest mistakes. However, some misrepresentations about Steve have been intentionally made. This is where the problem started.

It is unfortunate that most people have not been told both sides of the story. I hope this will allow you to see where Steve has been coming from.
