TECO tank

Posted in: Historic Kenwood
I see that the TECO gas tank is gone from the corner of 9th. Ave. and 28th. St. It was on the corner in front of the Texaco station. Does anyone know what happened? I know there were issues with zoning and setbacks. I, for one, am glad to see it gone. I thought it was ugly and unsafe. I also did not like the way it was first put in and then they asked for permission.

and...

how about that landscaping they had to ''hide'' it... LOL... I cracked up every time I saw that plant in front and to one side of it... very creative camouflage! Other than that comment, I have no idea what caused it to be removed.

Code Enforcement

Bill-
I believe that was a codes case. I remember seeing on TV and that they had to get rid of it.
