I live on the 4th Avenue and 26th Street block, where an incredibly rundown vacant apartment house lurks. I've seen no activity on the premises for months. On closer inspection, it appears the most recent occupants vacated in a hurry. Old furniture, clothes, junk, etc. are piled to the ceilings. A neighbor called code inspections recently, though--I think--w/o much luck. I don't see how this hulking shack could stand up to any sort of inspection. Has anyone out there encountered a similar situation?

Great suggestion--though 3+ months too late. The proper authorities have been contacted. Whining?? Get over yourself, angry person.
