It was reported at City Team Meeting today that if the developer does not meet the stipulated agreements by Feb. 28 deadline, then the project will be on the fast track for demolition. Bids have already been received by the City for the demo. The developer has not had any approved inspections and does not appear able to meet the requirement to have the roof, windows and doors, corrections, and passed inspections completed by Feb. 28.
However, the developer CAN request a 30 day extension of the agreement, but have not yet done so. The variances previously approved by the Board of Adjustment have expired, so the developer must start at square one again to apply for the variances from the BOA.
Let's hear from members--would you like the Board to send a letter to Milton Massanet, City Construction Services objecting to an extension of the agreement and to Julie Weston and John Hixenbaugh (City Development Review Services) opposing an application for variances?

Letters- yes

Yes, I would like to see NSNA do everything possible to prevent any further variances, extensions, etc.
This project was opposed by NS when it was in the drawing stages and I would like to see that opposition followed through for a multitude of reasons, not the least of which is poor (if not dangerous) construction. Thank you for this posting.

Enough is Enough.
They have had plenty of time to finish that project. Now it's turnig into 'the projects.'
Level it.
Opposition

Yes, write letters in opposition !

This development has been a disaster and it should be demolished. It is hard to believe that the city has allowed it to go on this long.
