Mike Fredericks, City Neighborhood Traffic, informed me today that the alley speed humps for the alley around 17th Ave. between Bay and 1st St. N. will be built in one week by City Engineering!! I was pleasantly surprised, because I had received a letter last week stating that traffic calming funds were exhausted for 2001, so we should not expect this project to be completed this year. Mr. Frederick stated that he ''creatively'' found another program budget to pay for the project! This project was initiated by a concerned resident, who circulated a petition and submitted it.

On 01-22, we'll view the drawings for the traffic circle to be constructed at 1st Street and 30th Avenue.
