I moved to the Old Northeast in April of 2001 because of its incredible charm and commitment to maintaining a progressive neighborhood atmosphere. I have just retired from FedEx Corporation after 24 years. Nineteen of those years were spent in operations management in both the Ground Operations Division and the Air Ground and Freight Services Division. My most recent position was Senior Manager for FedEx at the Tampa airport. While in New Orleans during my FedEx career I became very involved in community activities. Listed below are a few of my achievements in both my professional and community life from 1991-2002:

United Way Campaign Leadership Giver and Campaign Coordinator 1992-2002, FedEx Southern Region Leadership Award 2001, FedEx River District Humanitarian Award FY97, NO/AIDS Task Force Humanitis Award 1995, Chair, Board of Directors, NO/AIDS Task Force 1991-1995.

I graduated from Concordia College in 1974 with a B.A. Degree and State Board of Certified Public Accountants of LA certified me in 1990. I look forward to utilizing my business and community experience by serving on the board to support and continue the excellent progress already made in Historic Old Northeast!

Rex Stuckey
---------------
Rex Stuckey moved to St. Petersburg in 2001 from Toccoa, Georgia, when he retired from his position of vice-president of engineering for Coats-North American, a manufacturer of industrial sewing thread. While in that position, Rex was responsible for the building of manufacturing facilities in North and Central America and for environmental compliance of all the company?’s facilities. He is a Georgia native and a graduate of Auburn University. Rex has served on the board of directors for the Lake Yonah Association in north Georgia for several years.

Rex and his wife Peggy had visited their daughter and her family in St. Petersburg for the past nine years and always took walks in Old Northeast. When they decided to retire to St. Petersburg, they immediately began looking for a home in the neighborhood and were fortunate to find a 1926 Spanish bungalow with many possibilities for renovation, which will make good use of his hobbies of woodworking and gardening.

Rex believes that Old Northeast is a unique neighborhood because of its trees, diversity of home styles and mix of families and will work to help it retain that charm.

My wife, Tara, and I originally are from Long Island, New York. We moved to Florida about ten years ago to enjoy the temperate climate and relaxed feeling to be found here. We originally settled near Shore Acres and then moved to the Old Northeast about four years ago. My wife is in pharmaceutical sales and I am a real estate investor.

I've served on the Board for a couple of years and my experience restoring old homes has helped me greatly as the chair of HONNA's N.D.R. committee. I have a special love for our unique neighborhood and have enjoyed serving on the board.

My family and I moved from Bellevue, Washington to Florida more than two years ago. Before that we were living in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I am a Canadian citizen. I moved to Florida from Washington State to be close to my brother who lives in Tampa. My first and current job in Florida is working for the City of St. Petersburg as a Civil Engineer. I work on different projects as well as ''Traffic Calming plan for Different Neighborhoods''. I work with another engineer
and also Mike Fredrick (who is also Canadian) in this project.

The first house that I bought in United States is in Old Northeast and I am so proud to live in this neighborhood. I am interested in historical buildings and I would like to live here for the rest of my life. I hope I can be a benefit for the neighborhood due to my work experiences in Design and Traffic. My husband Ahmad Farahbakhsh is working in Tampa as a designer. He is an Architect. He also prefers to live here although he has to drive to Tampa every day. My daughter and son are both going to Southside Middle School. I have a son in Canada who just graduated from college and is looking forward to joining us in St. Petersburg. My goal is to be a useful member for my neighborhood.
