Specia Meeting of NSNA

The NSNA's By-Laws require the Board to call for a Special meeting when it receives a written request by ten percent of the membership This was done. A Petition was received with over 85 signatures of which 56 were paid up members of the North shore Neighborhood Association. The Association has 456 paid up members, therefore, only 46 signatures were required. Therefore, as Treasurer of the North Shore Neighborhood Association, I certified that the Petition met the requirements to call a special meeting as out lined in our By-Laws under Article V, Section 2. Letters were mailed out to all members and notice was placed in the Newspaper. The Board by a majority agreed that the voting will be open to all adults residing in or owning property in the neighborhood, regardless of association membership

Board Replacements

In the past the President nominated the replacement subject to approval by the Board. The nomination typically is the person with the most number of votes during the general election without being elected. I think Susan would be a great replacement given her comments and concern. Send your nominations to Steve Lange or any board member.

my point

That's just my point- you are not unlike- or better stated, you ARE like most of the other members and so this a good reason for you to serve on the board. You are obviously intelligent enough to learn the by-laws, etc. and you offer a fresh face. Please go for it.

Thank you

Thanks, Louis. I'm going to attend the next Board Meeting, June 12, and learn more about the process.
