Agree but...

Good idea but there will never be enough policemen to enforce and stop the people who insist on speeding. That area of 1st St needs a safe crosswalk.

By the way, our police have run traffic stings in the neighborhood and it slows people down for about a week- those that get caught.

As for a pedestrian neighborhood, sounds fine to me. We'd all be healthier, safer and happier as a result. But I don't think it's going to happen. Too bad, because in places in Europe, it is really nice.

Road Rage

It is obvious from your reply that you are a road rager. Get a grip - life is too short. If you think it is that bad, call the city and ask them to smooth it out a little and light it up. It's purpose is prevent pedestrian accidents but it is not meant to cause vehicle accidents.

PS if you call the city, it might help if you do not call them names and scream into the phone.

Great idea but people like ''wrecked car'' speed anyway. They see a cop and slow down. Care more about their cars than people.
