The "guideway system "was presented last night at the NSNA General Meeting ,it is a very early stage of the study but most of the people present failed to see a need for such a public transit system. Since the population density in St Pete is not going to change substancially and since the road traffic up to 2020 is not going to be much worse why should such a project be event considered , It is apparent that the present bus system can be improved ( more loopers and may be some express bus between major centers )rather than building a rail system on the Central Ave corridor or 4 Street, I can only see this system making thing worse and defeating the current projects of beautification. And wait that you hear the planned cost 25 to 40 millions per mile...
If it is not needed why should we get it ? Just in case...
