There has been a rash of thefts in the area of Locust Street and down the alley between 19th and 20th Avenues. An extension ladder was stolen from one home,
yard tools from another (while the homeowner was in the yard!) Other miscellaneaous thefts have also been reported by neighbors.

Unfortunately the thefts were not reported to the police.

I would like to urge all residents to call the police and report thefts as soon as they are discovered. This enables the police to pick up crime patterns, assign extra patrols to an area, and help prevent further crime.
It can also, in some instances, lead to the recovery of stolen items.

It is very important for all neighbors to report any and all suspicious activity to the police. If something looks suspicious, or to report thefts, call 893-7780, the police non-emergency number immediately.

looks like north shore has gone to the dogs and crooks. half of the postings over the last couple of weeks have been nothing but crime. i mean, how many times can you tell people to lock their car doors. gemme a break. if they are dumb enough to leave their doors unlocked they got what they deserved.
