I have lived in St. Petersburg since 1959. Old Northeast used to be one of the most beautiful areas in the city.

Then- the decline. It began in ernest
by the mid- 70's and continued well into the 80's.

The people who bought homes here, especially in the southern areas of the neighborhood, were brave pioneers in my eyes. I would not have taken the financial risk.

Now I think these people are asking for protection of their investment, their homes. They certainly took a risk and it benefitted all of us who own property in the area called Old Northeast.

risk taking and support them now, because you are right we have all benefited from their hard work
