As I posted I manage this web site and was surprise by this registration process and I complain immidiately as I am very pleased to see the large number of discussions and replies . I feared of course that some would be shy or reluctant to register, although like I said ,the registration process is not intrusive ( basically Your name, address and e-mail address )and not to be sold to any organization.
The reply from Neighborhood Link was prompt and indicated that the registration was a step to introduce new features such as petition online, online polls ... the registration would only allow one vote per registered user .
Once you have registered you do not have to it again.

The safty is..........

The safty is to stop someone from continually putting up wrong or offensive postings. It's just to keep the site clean. With this, you can also have polls on the site. It's a good idea.
