Let me say this one more time. The misguided efforts by the ringleaders and the rest of the Stop CVS'ers to stop the CVS project from happening was wrong. It was wrong factually. It was un-neighborly, it was mean spirited and it was doomed to failure from the very first second the organizers started to plan and plot. The fact that so many current and soon to be current board members supported such a wrongful effort is shameful. They should have been better read and better versed in the norms and rules of re-development.

The fact is that the regular North Shore NDR committee probably would have ended up with 98% of what the final solution was in the end. But having said that. Do I think that all of the ballywho that the Stop CVS activity caused made the project in the end a little bit better? Yes I do. I believe that the extra effort on the building's architectural ''style'' was probably greatly improved. Do I think that the Allendale Apartments being saved probably owes its continued existance to the Stop CVS efforts, yes I do. Beyond that, I do not think much else was changed. But, the project which was never in doubt from the beginning, is a better project because of the good work of the North Shore NDR Committee and because of the efforts by the neighbors.
