...behavior by a bunch of grown ups.

You shouldn't ever wonder why the attendance at neighborhood assoc. meetings isn't packed full of active residents. That's why its always the same group of people who volunteer until they eventually are fed up.

This type of sniping back and forth is childish, embarrassing and not very inviting to neighbors (new and existing) who may possibly have something useful and positive to contribute.

This bickering has got to go.
