Port Discovery

Posted in: Central Oak Park
The plans for the Port of St. Petersburg to become a PORT DISCOVERY also sound very exciting. This is another way to expand the cultural image of St. Petersburg. The addition of Marine Research has had a very positive (although quiet) effect on our city. Expansion of this research industry will continue to enhance the downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. USF Bayboro also continues to play a major role in our city. My only complaint about the project is the proposed parking garage to be built on the water...This needs to be built inland on top of existing ground-level parking lots at USF, don't take more space for parking, and certainly don't block the waterfront.
